These are some of the main processes and services used by Plastic Coatings.
Electrophoretic Painting
E-Coat, EP Paint, Electropaint, known by various names, has become established in recent years as an economical corrosion resistant and decorative finish on its own or as a primer.
Electrostatic Powder Coating
Plastic Coatings have been Powder Coating or Powder Painting for many years. We have three conveyorised plants, the largest and latest line being a ‘state of the art’ piece of equipment with the latest technology coating booth and spray guns.
Thermoplastic Dip Coating
The dipping of metal products into Thermoplastic powders is the oldest form of plastic coating and goes back to the time when Plastic Coatings was established in 1952.
Electrostatically sprayed Thermoplastics
The spraying of Thermoplastic Powders as opposed to the more common Electrostatic spraying of Epoxys and Polyesters also known as Thermoset materials (Powder Coating), is a speciality at Plastic Coatings.
PTFE Coating
The High Performance section of Plastic Coatings applies PTFE coatings. PTFE or PolyTetraFluoroEthylene has unique properties.
Bonded Lubricant Coating
The application of Bonded Lubricants also takes place within the High Performance Section at Plastic Coatings Ltd. Applied in a similar fashion to PTFE coatings Bonded Lubricants have properties of their own.
Plastisol Coating
The contract coating of components with PVC plastisols to the trade is unique to Plastic Coatings Ltd. This process involves the coating of metalwork which results in a very thick ‘rubbery’ type of coating.
Specialist Coating
Certain coating Processes at Plastic Coatings Ltd. are bespoke systems set up due to the requirements of the customer, market or both.
Small Components
For coating of smaller items we have a dedicated Small Components Coating Section, where we have the ability to fully coat or partially coat small pressings, springs and clips typically used in the automotive and electrical industries.
